The TEPPEN NEW YEAR CUP 2021 was an in-game tournament in TEPPEN. It was first announced during the finals of the TEPPEN WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 2020 on December 27.

Top ranked players of this tournament received a priority to enter the TEPPEN NEW YEAR TOURNAMENT 2021.

Rules[]

Similar to the 2020 cup, all players started with 1600 "Battle Points" upon finishing their first match. Points were lost or won based on the outcome of played matches and the difference in points between the two players. If there was a tie, the competitor who reached their Battle Point total earlier will be ranked higher. The rankings shown during the tourney period were tentative, once the tourney was over, the results were be shown correctly.

All Heroes, Hero Arts and cards were unlocked by default and could be used freely by anyone. All Card Sets could be used with the exception of The Battle of Amatsu no Kuni which was not released at the time, meaning that Oichi was also not playable.

A total of 50 decks could be registered for the cup, and they could be edited at any time, this differs from the 2020 cup where only 30 could be usable.
