Resident Evil, known as BIOHAZARD (バイオハザード Baiohazādo?) in Japan, is a survival-horror franchise.

Background

The first game in the series was released in 1996 exclusively for the PlayStation. Since then the series has spawned multiple video games, CGI movies, live-action movies, mangas, stage plays, etc.

The latest major video game in the series was Resident Evil 3 (BIOHAZARD RE:3?) which was released in 2020. It acts as a remake of Resident Evil 3: Nemesis (Biohazard 3: Last Escape?) that was released exclusively for the PlayStation in 1999. This title also comes with an online asymmetrical game titled Resident Evil Resistance (Biohazard Resistance?).

The next major title in the franchise was announced during Sony's PlayStation 5 event which happened in June 4, 2020. Named Resident Evil Vilage, this game takes place after Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, it will release sometime in 2021.

Heroes

Albert Wesker

Albert Wesker

Albert Wesker first appeared in Resident Evil (1996), he then became the major villain in the series up until Resident Evil 5 where he was ultimately killed. Wesker's appearance in TEPPEN is based on his look from Resident Evil 5.

Wesker's voice actors are D.C. Douglas and Joji Nakata in the English and Japanese versions respectively. These two actors have voiced Albert Wesker in multiple Resident Evil media, with D.C. Douglas also voicing him in Resident Evil 5.

Wesker's theme in TEPPEN is a remix of his battle theme (second fight) in Resident Evil 5 titled "Winds of Madness".

Jill Valentine

Jill Valentine

Jill Valentine first appeared in Resident Evil (1996), she is still considered one of the main characters in the series. Her appearance in TEPPEN is based on her outfit from Resident Evil 3 (1999).

Jill's voice actresses are Patricia Ja Lee and Atsuko Yuya in the English and Japanese versions respectively. Similar to Wesker, these two have voiced Jill Valentine in some Resident Evil media, with Patricia Ja Lee also voicing her in Resident Evil 5.

Jill's theme in TEPPEN is a remix of the Resident Evil 3 (1999) track titled "The Opening":
