The fist game in the series was released in 2001 exclusively for the PlayStation 2. The series has a total of six major video games, one of which is a reboot known as DmC Devil May Cry. The franchise has spawned an animated series, stage plays and radio dramas.
The latest video game in the series was Devil May Cry 5 which was released in 2019. This title is a direct sequel to Devil May Cry 4, which was released in 2008.
There is currently an ongoing manga titled Devil May Cry 5 – Visions of V – which acts as a prequel to Devil May Cry 5. There is also an upcoming animated series that was confirmed to be in the works by the team behind the Castlevania Netflix series.
Devil May Cry in TEPPEN
Dante first appeared in Devil May Cry, he was the main playable character of the series up until Devil May Cry 4, where Nero was the one playable from the start. His appearance is based on his look from Devil May Cry 4.
Dante's voice actors are Reuben Langdon and Toshiyuki Morikawa in the English and Japanese versions respectively. These two actors have become Dante's main voice since Devil May Cry 3 and Devil May Cry: The Animated Series respectively.
Dante's theme in TEPPEN is a remix of his Devil May Cry 4 theme titled "Lock and Load -Blackened Angel mix- (Dante's Battle Theme)", this track is in turn a remix of a battle theme in Devil May Cry titled "Lock and Load".
Nero first appeared in Devil May Cry 4, he was the main playable character of the game until about half of it, where the characters are switched. His appearance is based on his design from Devil May Cry 5.
Nero's voice actors are Johnny Yong Bosch and Kaito Ishikawa in the English and Japanese versions respectively. These two actors have voiced him in all of his appearances so far.
Nero's theme in TEPPEN is a remix of his Devil May Cry 5 battle theme titled "Devil Trigger".
